On Thursday 24 October, Michiel Raaphorst will give a lecture at ‘DRIVE! The Design Research & Innovation Festival’ in Eindhoven about the design of the Dutch pavilion for the world expo in Dubai. The lecture is part of the Dutch Design Week, where DRIVE! will focus on the role of the creative industries in dealing with societal challenges. The pavilion will be addressed as part of the mission theme ‘The Human Touch in Agriculture, Water, Food: creating new values for a sustainable food system’.
The Dutch pavilion is designed as a temporary circular climate system, a biotope, and will be built with locally available and recyclable building materials. Visitors can experience the connection between innovative Dutch solutions for water, energy and food issues: water will be produced, energy will be generated and food will be harvested.
Time: 11:30 pm – 12:30 pm
Location: Natlab, Kastanjelaan 500, Eindhoven
