After Michiel Raaphorst presented the Dutch pavilion during the Dutch Design Week and the DRIVE! Festival last week, he’ll be off to Dubai to tell the unique story once more. This time during the International Conference for Sustainable Construction Materials on 4 and 5 November, organized by Dubai Municipality. There he’ll focus on one of the other things that make the Dutch pavilion one of a kind, besides its unique design as a temporary biotope. Its impressive sustainable and circular approach to be precise. Instead of using permanent building materials or shipping in materials from abroad the team decided to use as much building materials as available in Dubai, to rent them, to return them after the expo closes or to reuse them.
